The airport will be completing the demolition of Hangar 101 beginning on June 8, 2022. Following recent wind storm damage, Hangar 101 was deemed unsafe by the Duluth Fire Department and cleared by the FAA for immediate demolition through a Notification of Emergency Situation. The demolition includes only the removal of the structure with the concrete hangar pad remaining in place. Further site development will occur in future years as outlined in the Airport Master Plan.
A tenant and user notification flyer was published this morning and gives a summary overview of the anticipated project dates, user impacts, and contact information.
