DAA Coordinates Community Support Drive for TSA Employees at DLH Amid Ongoing Government Shutdown

Duluth, MN – March 24, 2026 – As the federal government shutdown continues to impact essential workers across the country, the Duluth Airport Authority (DAA) is organizing a community-wide donation drive to support the dedicated Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees at Duluth International Airport (DLH).

TSA officers remain on the front lines, ensuring the safety and security of travelers, despite disruptions to their pay during the shutdown. In response, the DAA is coordinating  assistance to these dedicated workers and their families.

Requested Donations Include:

• Non-perishable food and grocery items
• Gas cards
• Store-specific gift cards (please note: no cash or prepaid Visa/Mastercard gift cards)
• Toiletries and personal care products
• Household essentials such as cleaning supplies

“This is an opportunity for our community to come together and support the dedicated individuals who continue to show up, and work tirelessly to keep our airport safe,” said Natalie Baker, Director of Communications and Marketing for the DAA. “All contributions can make a meaningful difference during this challenging time.”

Donations will be accepted at the DAA office during regular business hours (8am-4pm), starting on March 24- April 3. For questions or to coordinate drop-offs, please contact the DAA directly.
